About the job
- Installation: Install and set up plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, according to building codes and specifications
- Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctions in faucets, toilets, water heaters, and heating/cooling systems
- Inspection: Conduct inspections to identify problems, assess the condition of plumbing systems and technical equipment, and recommend repairs or replacements as needed
- Pipe Work: Install, repair, or replace pipes, fittings, and valves for water supply, drainage, and heating/cooling systems
- Technical Equipment: Service and maintain technical equipment like HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, electrical systems, and appliances, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely
Job instructions
- Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency calls for urgent repairs, such as burst pipes, gas leaks, or heating/cooling system failures
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local plumbing and building codes and standards when performing installations and repairs
- Customer Service: Interact with clients to explain the nature of plumbing or technical issues, provide cost estimates, and discuss repair options
- Problem Solving: Use problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of issues and implement effective solutions
- Tools and Equipment: Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and technology to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
