About the job
- Evaluates and organizes client care, ensuring continuity of care depending on the client's needs.
- Ensures clear and effective communication and education between nurses and clients.
- Maintaining accountability for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care programs within the framework of team nursing.
- Coordinate the client's transfer/discharge arrangements in compliance with hospital policies.
- Promote client-centered care in partnership with all appropriate health professionals.
- Educate clients and caregivers as needed.
- Create and maintain a safe environment, minimizing infection in the unit.
- Participate in decision-making bodies and rotate leadership/membership of councils/teams, which provides an opportunity for growth and development.
Job instructions
- Build professional relationships and rapport with individuals and groups for the purposes of education, support, and counseling.
- Manage one's own conduct sufficiently to offer safe, competent, and ethical nursing care
- Collaborates with all nursing units and other service areas/departments on client-related and other issues.
