About the job
- Ward, its annexes, and surrounding areas are clean.
- Linen and ward equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Specimens are sent out.
- Receive the patient upon admittance and aid them in getting into or out of bed.
- Transfer patients to various hospital departments.
- Assist the nurse with patient care and observation, as well as simple nursing procedures.
Job instructions
- Assist with the collecting and management of pathology samples.
- Assist the nurse with laundry materials, disinfecting beds, and transporting dirty linen to the laundromat.
- Clear and dust the doors, windows, and other furniture.
- Prepare dead remains, arrange for their transfer to the mortuary, and aid with terminal disinfection.
- Keeping the ward clean and orderly.
