About the job
- In charge of providing all bedside nursing care for the patients they are assigned.
- Complete the admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Assembles beds for critically ill patients and provides linens to assist or direct service members working beneath her.
- Upholds the patient's comfort and personal hygiene
- Feeds the defenseless patients and looks to their nutritional needs
- Keeps the patient's environment tidy and secure.
- Carries out and upholds ward procedures and policies.
- Coordinates with other team members the treatment of patients.
- When the doctors are called, go around with them to give new directions and make sure they are followed.
- Carries out a variety of technical nursing care activities.
Job instructions
- Medicine administration, such as the giving of pills or injections. prescription-only infusions and transfusions carried out in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assisting physicians with a range of surgical and medical diagnostic procedures by getting patients ready.
- Obtaining and transmitting samples for use in diagnostic tests in laboratories
- Supervise the monitoring and recording of vital signs, including blood pressure, respiration, temperature, and pulse.
- Carrying out stomach lavage, giving a suppository or enema, etc.
- Helps patients get ready for surgery and makes sure they have the right paperwork and prescriptions before being sent to the operating room.
- Tends to the back, intestines, bladder, perineum, breast, eyes, and ears, among other things.
- Observes each patient's condition and responds appropriately, either in consultation with the doctor
- Give each patient professional bedside nursing care.
